Hi all

I have written a new ec2\_ami\_search module and submitted a PR at [https://github.com/ansible/ansible-modules-core/pull/905](https://github.com/ansible/ansible-modules-core/pull/905)

I would welcome any discussion around this. Please note that this isn’t backwards compatible with the existing module of the same name, which isn’t really useful for anyone who isn’t using Ubuntu AMIs and even then, doesn’t really offer very much. However it greatly expands its functionality and does offer replacement capability - I have added an example in the module documentation to demonstrate.

Regards
Tom
