# how to modify ansible-cmdb to get vmware\_host\_facts (new module)

Hi Experts,

I am trying to get facts for esx host ( **vmware\_host\_facts** ). and module is not available in current version. anyhow I downloaded from [https://github.com/ansible/ansible/tree/devel/lib/ansible/modules/cloud/vmware](https://github.com/ansible/ansible/tree/devel/lib/ansible/modules/cloud/vmware)  
and [http://docs.ansible.com/ansible/devel/modules/vmware\_host\_facts\_module.html](http://docs.ansible.com/ansible/devel/modules/vmware_host_facts_module.html). (ansible 2.5)

By running ansible-cmdb, it is not collecting ESX facts. so, is there any way to customize ansible-cmdb to use ( **vmware\_host\_facts** ) in ansible-cmdb.?
