# How to ignore all task errors in a playbook?

Hello fellow Ansible users.

I am going to write a long playbook where every single task can fail, yet the playbook must proceed. If I write down “ignore\_errors” in each task, the playbook will get too long and too verbose.

Is there a way to tell ansible to “on error resume next”?

Can you put the whole thing in a block? A short example:

&nbsp;&nbsp;- hosts: localhost  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;tasks:  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;- block:

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;- fail: msg="1"  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;- fail: msg="2"  
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;- fail: msg="3"

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ignore\_errors: True

That seems to do the right thing.
