# How to get preview mode in your forum posts

A recent change in the underlying Discourse server introduced a change such that preview mode is not automatically turned on for each of your posts. If you want to get that preview back:

Look for a slider in the top-left corner of your topic editor window ( **\_A** ). Slide it to the left. That enables markdown preview again.
