So as a a developer, you might want to look at the ‘[help wanted](http://forum.ansible.com/t/the-bullhorn-132/4402)’ section of our weekly newsletter, the Bullhorn. It lists the easier issues across the projects and ansible collections. Poke around there and see if you find something of interest, then you can pop back here for help as you need to move along on your first contributions.
