# Gem module doesn't update when gem\_source set

Hi.

We include a gem as a .gem file, copy it over the host, and then use the gem module to install it.  
If we update the gem with a new version, the gem module doesn’t pick up the change and doesn’t run.

With gem\_source, we can’t use the version number, nor the state=latest.

Is there a way to go around that ?

Confirmed bug still exists in 1.6 and filed ticket in github tracker.
