# FYI -- Update to github notifications system (not project related)

This may be relevant –

[https://github.com/blog/1204-notifications](https://github.com/blog/1204-notifications)

I think this means “follow” is being replaced by “star this repository” and watch is now a system of deciding how you get notified by the repository.

I haven’t noticed this change affecting me just yet.

I have not figured out how to turn stars in for prizes yet.
