# Error: Invalid Tower authentication credentials (HTTP 401).

I am getting below error using tower-cli

# tower-cli version

Tower CLI 3.3.9  
API v2  
Error: Invalid Tower authentication credentials (HTTP 401).

Try with curl once to verify the auth creds: # curl -ki --user admin:password -XGET [http://localhost:8080](http://localhost:8080/)/api/v2/ping/
