# Database 'awx' missing

I am going through the install. I have an external database  
django.db.utils.OperationalError: FATAL: database “awx” does not exist  
4/13/2021 1:11:49 AM DETAIL: The database subdirectory “base/24973” is missing.

I created a database prior and set the settings for the database I know that the operator can see the database because when i created the database there was connections to it.  
If I change the environment variables values for the database (based on the notes in the readme for external databases) I can see it switch.

However for the life of me the install just keeps cycling. The AWX task container says that there is no databse and the operator just keeps repeating itself.

This is an interesting exercise and I am keen to understand how the reconciliation works.

Have you pulled the release version (0.8.0) or from the devlevel branch?

The operator says 0.8.0. It’s this what you are looking for?
