# Changing default for update\_password

Goodday,

Googling just gives me the page on the User module, but my need is to set the update\_password=on\_create as the default for users, as they change their passwords, but we keep the users.yml to help update keys etc. for them, though we have a “Default” initial password on creation.

How and where do I set this update\_password=on\_create as to not include it on each and every user’s stanza?

you could do something like:

update\_password="{{item.udpate|default('on\_create')}}"
