# cant install ubuntu ppa

on ubuntu xenial, when trying to apt update,

E: The repository ‘[http://ppa.launchpad.net/ansible/ansible/ubuntu](http://ppa.launchpad.net/ansible/ansible/ubuntu) xenial Release’ does not have a Release file.  
N: Updating from such a repository can’t be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
