# Can't I use "Alternate Name" once I delete the role? (AnsibleWorks Galaxy)

Hello : )  
I have a question.

I registered a role to AnsibleWorks Galaxy, with Alternate Name.  
After soon, I deleted the role, because I found a bug. (this was mistake)  
Then, I tried to re-register the role again with the same Aleterate Name.  
However, I couldn’t register because the role name is left in the system.

Hi,

Yep, this is a known issue.

There are currently some bugs with cleanup of deleted roles that we’re going to fix in an update to the beta over the coming weeks.
