# AWX upgrade path

Hi,

We are looking to upgrade the current AWX 2.0.1 version to the latest release. We use tower-cli to send and receive the data. Can we jump the release version from 2.0.1 to 8.0 or needs to be next release (ex: 3.0.1) and further on?
