Hello AWX users,

With the release of AWX 21.3.0 we added a change to the [Google Compute Engine credential type](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible-tower/latest/html/userguide/credentials.html#google-compute-engine) that we would love to get some feedback on.

In addition to how the credential type currently works, we now also set an environment variable called “GOOGLE\_APPLICATION\_CREDENTIALS”. This should allow for the usage of the [google modules](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/google/cloud/index.html) along with the [glcoud CLI](https://cloud.google.com/sdk/gcloud) executable. This change should be non-disruptive for existing Google integrations.

If you use Google Cloud we would love to hear that your existing integrations still work after upgrading to AWX 21.3.0. And if you can test using the gcloud CLI we would also like to know if you are able to authenticate successfully with an AWX GCE credential type. You can leave a message in the [mailing list](https://groups.google.com/g/awx-project), [IRC](https://github.com/ansible/awx/#get-involved) or in this [feature request](https://github.com/ansible/awx/issues/12211)

Thanks for all your help,
-The AWX Team
