Hi, I’ve to use ansible playbooks with old Procurve switch (2626 or 2650).
Switch have only telnet and ssh1

Can you help me to find right connection protocol to change switch configuration?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum, @uzzi!

The connection protocol you want is ssh (libssh or paramiko), and the ansible connection plugin for that is [ansible.netcommon.network\_cli](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/ansible/netcommon/network_cli_connection.html#ansible-collections-ansible-netcommon-network-cli-connection).

You can then use the [ansible.netcommon.cli\_config](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/ansible/netcommon/cli_config_module.html#ansible-collections-ansible-netcommon-cli-config-module) or [ansible.netcommon.cli\_command](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/ansible/netcommon/cli_command_module.html#ansible-collections-ansible-netcommon-cli-command-module) modules to push configuration to the switch.

There is also a [telnet](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/collections/ansible/netcommon/telnet_module.html#ansible-collections-ansible-netcommon-telnet-module) module, but I would not recommend using that.
