# Ansible Core is in Freeze for 2.3

As you all know, the next version of the open source Ansible project (version 2.3) is currently in development. We are now in feature freeze for all modules and Core Engine work for the 2.3 release. Bug fixes only will go into that release. We are targeting RC1 for around March 15th.
