# Announcing community.openwrt 1.0.0

Hi everyone, it is a great pleasure to announce the release of community.openwrt 1.0.0!!

The collection supports OpenWrt 23.05+ (including 25.12.0-rc3) and Ansible 2.18+!!

Install it from Ansible Galaxy: `ansible-galaxy collection install community.openwrt`

Starting with this release, the collection adopts stricter rules to enforce the quality of the project, following the standard rules of the Ansible Community. Please read more in [Release and Maintenance](https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.openwrt/blob/main/MAINTENANCE.md). Also keep an eye on the [Release History](https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.openwrt/issues/100) to see when the next versions will be released.

Big thanks to contributors so far, but especially to @Jonny007-MKD, [kbialek](https://github.com/kbialek), [drwicid](https://github.com/drwicid) and others for fixing, adding and reviewing the PRs! Also, not enough thanks to [gekmihesg](https://github.com/gekmihesg) for the previous work on which this collection is based on!

Additional thanks to:

- @gundalow for supporting this since day zero and for creating the repo for us
- @Andersson007 for helping setting up the machinery and putting up with obvious questions 🙂
- @felixfontein for being the most excellent mate to work with in community.general - I have learned a lot from him and I wouldn’t be able to put community.openwrt together without that experience. And, for the patience with all my random questions all the time 😃
