Hi

As I am working through the “Your first commands” section, it strikes me that a sample VM, based on VirtualBox and built by Vagrant, say, could make it easier to create a sample environment to practice that section, and later sections also.

Has anyone created such a VM for practicing with Ansible?

Many thanks

Nathan

Hello Nathan,

I think you’d be interested on the ansible series of sysadmin cast:

On the first episode you’ll find the steps on how to create a testing environment for ansible playbook. I used this to learn the basics and it helped me am lot.

Hope it helps,

Alfredo

Gracias Alfredo, and apologies for the delayed response.

The second episode([https://sysadmincasts.com/episodes/45-learning-ansible-with-vagrant-part-2-4](https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fsysadmincasts.com%2Fepisodes%2F45-learning-ansible-with-vagrant-part-2-4&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNE2Rl97DMbEX1RpHwibLKjC7OJevw)) has the discussion I was after.

I wonder why the Ansible team don’t pre-package something similar in these instructions?
