# 2.19.1 release schedule update

Since 2.19.0 shipped outside the normal 4-week maintenance release cycle used for the other stable branches, the core team had originally planned to make 2.19.1 a short-cycle release to resync its release dates. Given the lack of urgent fixes already merged for Monday’s planned freeze + RC and some recently found issues with `ansible.netcommon` and generator plugin results that have fixes in-flight, we’re going to stick to a full 4-week cycle for 2.19.1. This puts 2.19.1rc1 on 18 August, final on 25 August, and allow us to release the in-flight fixes sooner.

We’re currently planning to short-cycle 2.19.2 to get all the maintenance release schedules resynced.
